Marty Roberts
Marty Roberts has had a lifelong passion for waterfowl hunting and training retrievers. Through Sporting Life Kennels, Marty and his team have trained over 1500 dogs and have thousands of happy customers.
The system Marty created with Retriever University is a mix of different systems and ideas he’s implemented during his retriever training. He is always pushing himself to continue learning new and better ways to train dogs and is dedicated to passing that skill along to you. His motto is “I Want Happy Dogs”, meaning that he not only wants the dogs he trains to learn, he also wants them to love learning and build a deep relationship with their trainer.
With over 38 years of experience, he loves sharing that with others and takes great joy in watching his clients train their own pup.

David Spaulding
David started training full time at 19 years old. He just turned 29. He has been with Marty from the beginning of his career and has been an excellent addition to the Sporting Life Family. He has the ability to bring out the best in a dog. His training dogs tend to love and respect him...which says it all.
David is making plans to open a second Sporting Life Kennels in the Nashville, TN area in 2021.
